According to her mother, Eva painted this
for someone who had helped her out, when no one else could. In the mid
90's, Eva was living in an old farmhouse. She had bought a new window,
but was unable to find anyone to install it. Finally, a friend of
a
friend was able to install this particular window properly. Being a
kind and generous person, he did not want to accept any payment for
what he had done. So, Eva presented this unusual painting to him, as a
token of her gratitude. Notice the "bubble" inside the boat.
